Board of Trustees Meeting
Minutes for December 6, 2007

 

The Riverside Regional Library Board of Trustees conducted a meeting Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Drury Lodge, I-55 & Highway 61, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. 

 

Call to Order

Following a buffet dinner and entertainment at 6:30 p.m., the meeting was called to order by President James Marks at 7:25 p.m.

 

Roll Call

Members present were: Carl Buchheit, Kathy Carron, Steve Burk, Deborah Gunter, Randal Friends, Tom Gross, JoAnn Hahs, Kathy Lynn, James Marks.  Members absent were: June Ernst, Emil Lohmann, Kathy Panagos, Janet Randolph, Linda Sebaugh and Cathy Walters.  Also present was Library Director Nancy Howland.

 

Visitors

Visitors present were: Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jones, Larry Bock, Kathy Schlimpert, Glenda Kenkel, Eileen Fronabarger, Julie Sauer, Bernice Kern, Barbara Arnzen, Roberta Brown, Mary Kay Sauer, Madonna Bohnert, Shirlene Shaffer, Lillian Hess, Novena Bollinger, and their guests.

 

Approval of Minutes Randal Friend moved to approve the November 2008 Board minutes; motion seconded by Kathy Lynn.  Motion approved unanimously.

 

Introductions.  Cape County Commissioners Gerald Jones and Larry Bock were introduced by Board President James Marks.  Board members and employees introduced themselves and their guests. 

 

Recognitions.  Retiring members Carl Buchheit and Shirley Essner were recognized by Board President James Marks.  Employee service awards were presented by Library Director Nancy Howland to Jan Sibley (5 yrs.), Novena Bollinger (5 yrs), Julie Sauer (10 yrs), and Ginny Robert (10 yrs).

 

Unfinished Business.  Tabled until January meeting

 

New Business.  None.

 

Executive Session.  None.

 

Adjournment.  Carl Buchheit moved to adjourn the meeting.  Motion seconded by Kathy Lynn.  Motion carried unanimously.  The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
