Riverside Regional Library

Public Relations 2008:

  • In February Lynn Farrow and Ginny Robert represented Riverside at MLA Advocacy Day, a one-day session in Jefferson City to learn about any legislation relating to public libraries and to meet our representatives at the Capitol.
  •  

  • Scott County Branch Managers and members of the Historical Society are now taking turns changing the glass display case at the Benton courthouse.  The Branch Manager will alternate every month for one year.
  •

    ·        Library’s monthly newsletter produced in-house is CURRENTS.

     

    ·        The 2008 Patron Satisfaction Survey was conducted during the summer.

     

    ·        Riverside’s traditional magnetic calendars were again distributed to our patrons.

     

    ·        Children's Librarian, Lynn Farrow, sat on the YELL Foundation Board which works closely with the area School Librarians Association. The group sponsored author visits to area schools and libraries in the fall.

     

  • Scott County Health unit used the Benton Branch meeting room as an outreach center.
  •  

  • Oran Branch Manger, Ginny Robert, began a series of coffee chats on the local AM radio station with host Faune Riggen. 
  •  

  • Benton Branch Manger, Bernice Kern, spoke at the Scott County Women in Ag meeting in October about  the  services that the Library has to offer and about the "Friends" group of the library.
  •  

  • RRL Christmas display in Jackson City Park in December.
