Riverside Regional Library

Public Relations:

  • Lynn Farrow and Ginny Robert represented Riverside at MLA Legislative Day in Jefferson City in February.

 

  • Glass display case at Scott County Court House is decorated yearly by the Scott County branch librarians to promote use of the library.

 

  • Children's Librarian, Lynn Farrow, sat on the YELL Foundation Board which works closely with the area School Librarians Association. The group sponsored author visits to area schools in fall.

  • Scott County Health unit used Benton library's meeting room as an outreach center to give shots.

  • RRL Christmas display in Jackson City Park in December.

  • Glenda Kenkel attended the History Day awards presentation at the Scott City Middle School.  Dr. Rhodes from SEMO University brought in a team of judges who interviewed the students about their projects. Many of the exhibits looked familiar because several of the students came to the library to do their research either on the internet or checked out books to complete their project.

  • The Perry County Health Department held a Health Fair at the Perry Park Center on Feb. 25. The Perryville Branch had a Dr. Seuss book give-away, balloons, color sheets, bookmarks and candy for the kids.

  • Nancy Howland attended the Oct. 18th meeting of the Jackson Noon Optimist Club and presented them with a certificate of appreciation for their recent donation of $200 to the main library.

  • Novena Bollinger represented the library at the Area of Aging conference on grand parenting in October held at the New Mckendree Church.
