Riverside Regional Library

• • • Children’s Librarian, Lynn Farrow, visited area schools to publicize the Summer Reading Club and/or to present book programs.  She also visited area preschools and daycares throughout the year to present storytime programs for children.

     

    • The first Vanduser City Hall deposit collection of 32 books was put in place, plus books were delivered to the nursing home in Miner.

     

    • The first Saint Mary Post Office deposit collection was put in place in January 2008.

     

    ·        Rotating deposit collections at Burfordville and Daisy Post Offices continued.

     

    ·        Weeded and donated books were delivered to area daycares and nursing homes.

     

    • Perryville Branch Manager, Julie Sauer, was invited to a luncheon given by the 21st Century Community Learning Center, an after-school program that visits the library each Friday afternoon.

     

    • Roberta Brown spoke to the students at Jackson Junior High School on September 29.
