Grants Received 2008

         

    • “Picturing America” grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA) Public Programs Office, a project of the NEH’s “We the People” program.  The National Endowment for the Humanities is piloting a program to bring high-quality reproductions of forty works of American art into classrooms and libraries in every state of the union. Cosponsored by the American Library Association.  Awarded to all six branches.

     

    • Wal-Mart Grant Lynn Farrow (Children’s Librarian) applied for and received a $200 grant from Wal-Mart to be used for children’s summer reading and/or the children’s collection.

     

    • Missouri State Library Technology Mini-grant was award to Riverside for the full amount requested—$3,488—for the terminal services equipment, software, and labor which will solve the slowness problem between the branches and Central.  These are federal LSTA funds and require a local match of $1,163.
