Grants Received

 

  • Spotlight on Library Programs grant—RRL was awarded a Spotlight on Library Programs grant in the amount of $895 in federal LSTA funds from the Missouri State Library.  Grant funds paid for a story time featuring children’s author Lisa Campbell Ernst on February 28.  RRL partnered with the Cape Girardeau Public Library, the Y.E.L.L. (Youth, Education, Literacy and Learning) Foundation, and the organization of the Missouri Southeast Public School Librarians.  Grant was written by Children’s Librarian, Lynn Farrow 

 

  • Summer Reading Program grant—RRL, in partnership with Jackson Junior High School and Kelly High School, was awarded an LSTA grant through the State Library at the end of February for a summer reading program directed at teens.  Included an author visit by David Patneaude. Grant was written by Children’s Librarian, Lynn Farrow   

 

  • Show-Me Steps to Career Development grant--Children’s Librarian, Lynn Farrow, was awarded a Show-Me-Steps grant through the Missouri State Library to help defray the expenses of attending the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) Spring Conference in April.

 

  • Website Makeover Grant—RRL was awarded $2,790 to produce a professional website design that was easy to navigate and more high-performance and user friendly.  Grant written by Library Director, Nancy Howland.
