Would you like to become a Friend of the Library
It's only $5.00 a year and membership forms are available at the checkout desks of all Riverside Regional Library locations.
The Jackson Main Branch and the other branches of the Riverside Regional Library have organized or are working on plans to organize Friends groups.
The Friends are a not-for-profit group of volunteers who promote the public library through fund-raisers. Money earned goes for programs, equipment, books, videos, furniture, or other things the library needs and can't afford to purchase. Being a Friend is a great way to meet other people who are interested in books and the library, to bring public attention to all the materials and services the library has to offer, to encourage and receive gifts, endowments and bequests to the library, and to raise funds to provide special programs for kids, teens, adults, and seniors at the library.
Don’t forget that the library often has need of volunteers to help with extra jobs around the library. Some may be short-term but others can be ongoing. Just ask one of the librarians for more information.
